What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Ticket Sales

We collect the personal information that you provide when booking tickets for events, shows or other performances displayed on our website.  The only mandatory information that we require is that you provide us with at least your full name and e-mail address. We need this information to be able to complete a ticket sale and to deliver the relevant documentation to you by email. It also allows us to contact you if required.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

The data that we collect from you is not transferred outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”).  We follow the Information Commissioner’s Office’s recommendations for our own data security. Only officers with specific responsibility for data management have access to the personal information you provide and have undertaken to provide adequate security. Our Payment Processor use their own security measures to keep your personal banking details safe, including safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption. 

Online Ticket Sales

Use of TicketSource

We use, an online application provided by Ticket Source Limited (TSL), to manage our ticket sales. We use TSL to process personal information as a data processor on our behalf. TSL is only entitled to process your personal data in accordance with our instructions. When you use the TSL platform, you may be asked to fill out an online form with personal information such as your name, address, telephone number and email address. This information is collected to enable us to sell you the tickets only, and will not be passed to any other organisation. 
Some of the information collected through these forms is marked as mandatory (i.e. the information needed to complete the ticket sale, such as your full name and e-mail address) and other information is provided voluntarily, if you fail to provide the information that is marked as mandatory, we will not be able to process your form or to complete the ticket sale.
